Overclocking 1600MHZ RAM
Overclocking 1600MHZ RAM
Hello there everyone,
I’m seeking some guidance from the community about overclocking my Crucial Ballistix Sport 16 GB RAM. It’s currently running at 1600MHZ, and I’d like to raise it to 2133MHZ.
Here are my questions and would appreciate your advice:
1. Does overclocking this RAM improve gaming performance when paired with an i7-4790k (4.56GHZ) and a GTX 1080?
2. What voltage level should I consider?
Thank you in advance for your help.
It would depend on the kind of game for the FPS score achieved. Your RAM isn't rated at 2133Mhz, so success really hinges on luck if you reach it. Just search for 2133Mhz RAM and examine their voltage and timing, then give it a shot—gradually raise the voltage if needed or adjust timing. You probably won't be able to get it.
