Overclocking
Hello, I'm working on overclocking your 3600x with the Gigabyte GX570 and Dark Rock Pro 4. I'm using AMD Ryzen Master and have already tried various settings but faced issues. The system is now returning to default. Could you offer some guidance? Thanks.
The amount you pushed was significant, but it's clear that Zen 2 mainly supports RAM-based overhauls rather than core changes.
AMD processors lack the identical overclocking range as Intel chips... turn on PBO in the BIOS, and allow them to perform any self-advancement they support.
You didn't specific what your overclock attempt was, but this is what I have generally found. The Ryzen 3600, long term stability under load hits about 4.1 @ 1.3 - 1.35v People claim to hit 4.2 under 1.3v, but I haven't had any such luck. Might just be down to silicon lottery or poor stress testing. DDR4 limit is about 3200, anything above that will come down to silicon lottery. Ryzen also hates odd timings for some reason. Would recommend setting your overclock in BIOS rather than software.
I checked the BIOS settings but didn’t find any overclocking options. To stay updated, monitor system performance and hardware changes; updates are needed if stability or compatibility issues arise.
