I upgraded my CPU with an aftermarket cooler and installed a custom RAM module. I also swapped out the original PSU for a more efficient one.

I just watched a tutorial to overclock the i7 7700k and followed all the steps, but it ended up messing things up.
as christopherjames said, just select "Default settings" in your BIOS and it take you back to original settings

I've already reset to default and it's still not working properly. That's strange. Have you tried using a CMOS battery or jumper reset? It's a more thorough reset than just changing BIOS settings. Check your motherboard manual for steps, or search YouTube for tutorials.
I haven't given it a shot, but I've definitely explored all the alternatives.
