Before I upgraded my PSU, I managed to overclock my i5-2500k up to around 4 ghz. I changed my PSU from 600w to 1000w just in case. After that, I attempted to push it to 4.6 ghz but the CPU didn’t respond well, so I lowered it back to 4 ghz again. Even that wasn’t ideal, so I finally settled on 3.6ghz. The only thought I had was that overclocking too high might have damaged the CPU, though my temperatures are currently around 35°C and haven’t shown any issues at that speed.

I adjusted my vCore a few times today (staying within safe limits) but it didn't make a difference.
