Hi
I'm looking to overclock the APU: 5825u. I don't have a graphics card, just want better game performance using APU.
I've heard on Reddit that we can achieve this with a Ryzen Controller, AMD APU Tuning Utility, and similar tools. The AMD APU Tuning Utility has a profile specifically for the Ryzen 5825u!
I'm curious if it's safe to do this or not?
And will I really see a performance improvement?
Thanks

On a laptop, the cooling system is only sufficient for the default configurations.

as discussed before, the CPU temperature matters. if it becomes too high during games, you won't have much room for overclocking, but you can lower the voltage on your CPU or iGPU, which would allow both to perform better even at the same temperatures.

Yes, it can get as high as 50°C during intense gaming loads. Using an AMD APU Tuning Utility to lower the APU voltage might help improve performance. There are some guides available that discuss this approach.

Nothing stops you from trying, it can be returned to defaults and uninstalled,

Track temperatures and voltages but adjust only slightly when necessary.
