Hey everyone
Which motherboard works best for overclocking 2500k? I currently have two options at the same price: Asus P8Z77 V LE and ASRock Extreme 6 P67.

I prefer choosing Asus directly, avoiding ratings on that era's products.

Both decent boards are solid choices. The Asrock with its 16+2 phase power seems to have an edge. The Asus model appears to lag behind. I'm not sure what the "V16" refers to, as I can only see 10 power transistors and chokes. It might be a more powerful 8+2 configuration.

Thanks, asus offers many features but they also have heat issues on z77 v boards. I'm thinking about overclocking to 4.5 with evo 212.

As he mentioned, both solid boards work well, but Asrock tends to perform better when overclocking.
