You can enhance any Nvidia based card, including the GT 420, even though it may not handle heavy overclocking well. The cooler on the card is limited and basic, so expect only modest improvements. You should be able to increase the GPU core frequency, shader pipeline speed, and memory speed. Monitor GPU temperatures closely during the process. Adjust one setting at a time by roughly 25Mhz and test. Continue this approach until you reach the highest possible speed without experiencing crashes, freezes, or graphical issues while playing games. Keep moving to the next clock setting and repeat until you find the optimal configuration for each card setting.

Even if you had the chance, it might not be worthwhile. It could be achieved using MSI Afterburner. What is your power supply unit?

You have the ability to boost any Nvidia-based card, including the GT 420, even though it may not reach excessive speeds. The cooler on the card is limited and basic, so overclocking should be moderate. You can increase the GPU core frequency, shader pipeline speed, and memory speed, but monitor temperatures closely during the process. Adjust one setting at a time by roughly 25Mhz and test. Continue until you reach maximum performance without crashes, freezes, or graphical issues while playing games. If you push the card too far, reduce it gradually in steps of 25Mhz. The memory overclocking results can also vary based on the specific memory brand used with the card.
