Looking for a quick safe setup and forget overclock for your I7 6700K? Since it's mainly for gaming, you can skip long stress tests. Your build includes an MSI Z170A, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz, GTX 980, TI 6GB CPU cooler, Hyper Evo 212 PSU, and Corsair RM750x Gold.

The 10-minute test might be excessive, but you'll still need about 2 to 3 hours overall. If it feels overwhelming, try it with standard settings.

Stress testing isn’t overly demanding from a human perspective. Just start it and observe the results later to determine performance. A voltage of 1.35V at 4.5 GHz should generally suit most Skylake chips. Just run the system normally or test it—your PC might operate for extended periods without requiring long sessions.
