overclock i3 6100 not working
with my asrock z170 pro4, I set the bclk to 125 and vcore to 1.4 to achieve a target cpu speed of 4.625mhz. adjusting the ram frequency back to 2400 works, but it still shows 3.7ghz instead of the expected 4.625, and the memory clock reports 1200mhz. what’s happening? am i making a mistake?
I experienced a similar issue. Once I adjusted the DDR frequency back to its rated speed, the CPU remained stuck at 3.7 regardless of the BCLK settings. It turned out I had to clear the CMOS by disconnecting the battery between attempts. I'm not sure if this applies to your case, as you have a different board, but it might be worth trying.
