Overclock fx6300 on m5a78L-M with USB3
Don't follow the critics, this board isn't aiming for an award, but I already use it on my server. With some adjustments, you can significantly improve its power efficiency and CPU performance. I wouldn't recommend using a 125w chip here, though the 95w ones work if you're realistic about your goals. The main way to boost performance and cooling is by under-volting the chip, especially the VDDNB voltage. You can reduce load temperatures by as much as 15c in Prime95 while still reaching around 4ghz (as I did). It took me a week to get there, but now it's running nonstop since setup, and I'm very satisfied.
Wouldn't be wise to overclock the board.
Insufficient power and thermal management.
