I've got a 4k 30hz monitor that I've overclocked to 110hz at 1080p, but it still feels like 30hz.

Did you verify the specifications? Monitor outputs aren't always accurate across all connections. For instance, hdmi1 shows 1080p at 30Hz, hdmi2 claims 1080p at 60Hz—please refer to the owner's manual.
