Overclock - Determine the right moments and methods for boosting voltage.
I'm working with MSI Afterburner to attempt overclocking my GTX 1060. I found online advice suggesting that raising the voltage can help if the GPU becomes unstable due to increased clock speed. I tried boosting the voltage by 10%, setting an offset of around 160 Mhz to the core clock. Although the voltage was higher, it didn't eliminate the artifacts and the system remained unstable. I'm unsure whether +160 Mhz is the maximum or if a much larger increase is needed. I'm not sure how much more to adjust.
The target of +150 is generally attainable in most cases. Boost your memory speed as well for a noticeable improvement in FPS. Many users see gains of over 500 points on memory performance. Just push the power limit and monitor temperatures. If you're exceeding 80°C during heavy use, reduce the output slightly.
