Hey everyone, my PC won't boot.
I tried to push the overclock on my Maximus VIII using the TPU1 setting in BIOS. The MOBO manual provided instructions, but when I clicked yes for a test, the screen went blank. I thought it was trying to test its limits. I left it running for about ten minutes, but nothing happened. Eventually, I restarted it. After rebooting, there was no POST screen—just a blank screen for around thirty seconds before it kept looping. I attempted to interrupt the loop by shutting it down halfway and restarting, but then pressing F2 or DEL brought up an overclock 7% screen followed by the old American Megatrends BIOS. That’s where things got serious.

If I didn’t press F2 or DEL, the system would just keep looping.
I removed the RAM, reset the CMOS using the button on the MOBO and the reset switch on the IO panel for five seconds. Still nothing. I’m stuck. I was thinking about getting a new MOBO and CPU, but at least I should try fixing these issues first. Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks.

One RAM slot doesn't work, try others; disconnect drives from power and SATA connection to avoid power cycling. I've experienced the same problem with my Maximus, it really worries me. I definitely won't recommend automatic overclocking. If needed, reflash the BIOS. Also, remove the CMOS battery, unplug the PSU, and hold the power button for 30 seconds to reset CMOS completely.
