Overclocking a 4690k, Gigabyte ZA97 gaming 5 MOBO, 16GB Kingston 1600 RAM BIOS version 6. At first the overclock worked at 4.5ghz and 1.3V but had stability and booting problems, even failing to enter BIOS. Later it stabilized at 4.4ghz for a few days before failing completely—no booting, no beeps, nothing. I removed the RAM and replaced it, and now it boots again. Each shutdown prevents restart until the new RAM is installed. Possible causes are related to overheating or BIOS compatibility; the stress test with AIDA64 recorded a max temperature of 72°C.

This indicates the RAM is in good condition. It also suggests the slots for the RAM and CPU are properly aligned with the RAM. Use tools like CPUz and prime95 (version 26.6) to assess your CPU performance.

Use memtest86 to check each RAM stick for stability, then run tests in groups.

The_Staplergun :
Run memtest86 and check each RAM stick carefully. Then test them in groups. Thanks a lot for the tips. I completed an overnight memtest 86 without any issues. It seems the RAM is stable. Maybe it's the MOBO?
