Hi. I'm interested in understanding how much overclocking will impact the GTX 1050 Ti's lifespan and performance, especially without changing the voltage or slightly raising it. Would you recommend doing so?

It shouldn't matter. 1050 Ti has a locked voltage. You might use 100% without harming it since it won't exceed a specific level.
Of course, why not? It's much simpler and safer compared to CPUs.
5-10% improvement. Up to 15% if you're lucky.

Graphics card manufacturers sell their chips in different versions, choosing the superior ones for factory overclocking to increase their selling price. You might be able to push performance further, but it could also be limited. They compete by offering cosmetic upgrades and premium cooling solutions that also command higher prices. I believe a basic overclocked card still provides good value. If you require greater performance, they typically purchase a more advanced model initially. I don't bother with the effort.

I'm planning to assemble this computer tomorrow and I don't have extra funds for a better GPU. I was wondering if it's possible to squeeze more performance from the 1050 Ti without making too many changes.

It shouldn't matter. The 1050 Ti has a locked voltage. You might be able to use 100% without harming it since it won't exceed a specific threshold.
Of course, it makes sense. It's much simpler and safer compared to CPUs.

Thank you for your question. After overclocking, ensure you verify the apply overclocking setting at startup to activate the locked "mode" after rebooting your PC.

Launch MSI Afterburner, then choose your profile if saved or re-enter the numbers > Apply
If it functions without issues for a few days, you may proceed to check overclocking at startup. I don’t play games every time my PC powers on (movies, browsing, etc.), so I only overclock before gaming sessions.

the distinction between 1050 ti and 1060 3g is quite noticeable. nevertheless, the pricing for 1060-3 has significantly decreased because of the crypto crash.
