Hey everyone, I am facing this weird issue where I have my laptop connected to Lenovo legion monitor and somehow even on idle it's output goes blank basically for 4-5 seconds and then it comes back again. Very annoying during games especially. I am using DP cable and attached to laptop's usb c port via adaptor, adaptor link : https://www.amazon.in/dp/B098T58S5Z?ref=...asin_title Display settings are 120Hz with 10 bit color and HDR on. Issue seems to be more frequent when switching to 165Hz. Can someone please help me debug this issue and whether it's a hardware or software issue and how to fix it? Steps already done : Tried changing cables, and the adaptor as well. Works fine with my friend's laptop but issue persists with mine Laptop : Lenovo Legion 5 pro rtx3060 variant Monitor : Lenovo Legion r27q-30

The Type-C connection could be the issue if it isn't working properly.

You mentioned it occurs more at 165Hz, which suggests the issue might be with a low-quality generic adapter from AliExpress. It's not unusual for such products to have problems. Try a different brand from a reputable source to see if the performance improves.

It might be possible, though the identical option functions well for my friend who owns a nearly identical laptop but with a 4060 and LG GP850 display.

Your laptop has two Type-C ports, but both are not working properly. It’s possible both are faulty.

These items are standard, produced in large numbers with minimal quality checks. It’s highly probable that exchanging them with a friend will restore proper function.

Consider switching to another video cable and observe if that resolves the issue. Test with a different monitor or check for power stability.
