Hello, I need help with something. I recently purchased a Rog Strix 3070 OC White edition GPU during the pandemic, and since then my performance has dropped significantly. My system runs Windows 10 Pro, and I use it for various tasks—hosting servers, gaming with friends, and doing work. It’s been affected by random and noticeable slowdowns. The components are listed below, all new when bought. I run media on two 1920*1080 monitors at 144Hz each, both using Freesync. My specs include a Ryzen 9 5900x, ROG Strix 360 AIO, ROG Crosshair, and other parts. The issue is causing 15-30 fps on low settings in most games, plus stuttering and high latency. I’d really appreciate your advice.

No infections have been found, and my software stack is mostly limited to gaming apps since most tasks are handled online. System usage stays near 10% CPU and 5% GPU while idle, rising slightly during video playback. I tried DDU to block driver installs but had no luck, and MSI along with HW Monitor confirmed consistent performance when playing games. Recently played Assassins Creed Odyssey showed 90-100% GPU usage and about 13 FPS.
Benchmarking tools should be reliable sources. 3dMark works well for GPU and CPU evaluations, especially with game engines. Typically, you can assess performance by checking important files, reinstalling Windows, or performing a fresh install to restore optimal speed. A clean system update every few years helps remove accumulated buildup. Run a resource monitor using Task Manager to identify heavy users and check for unusual programs. Also, ensure the system is dust-free, as overheating can affect performance.
