Is there any explanation for IMAP's issues in Outlook 2013? For example, emails marked as read in Outlook don't update on Gmail's server. The messages stay unread.

@rapallie, I don't rely on Gmail with Outlook 2013, but I use iCloud instead and haven't encountered any issues. I also have Outlook 2010 on another device that connects via IMAP with Gmail without problems.

You're correct, it functions well in Outlook 2010. The issue seems to appear after upgrading to 2013, even though all settings remain unchanged.
