I along with numerous others favor downloading or installing updates by hand—automatic updates might cause issues.

The issue is that you can't disable them in home edition, and there's also a rumor going about how it'll force-restart your PC or whatever.

Same, automatic updates ensure most users stay protected. The frequent concern is that it will restart automatically. This isn't true in Windows Update, where you can choose to let Windows ask for a restart or set a specific time.

If DX12 supports SLI VRAM stacking, I’ll definitely begin planning for another 390. 16GB of VRAM, what more is required?

DX12... Who wouldn't prefer improved gaming performance? ...Assuming those titles are compatible with Windows 10 too.

I'm thrilled about these updates. 1. The modern interface now works smoothly with the desktop environment. 2. Microsoft Edge will be my go-to extension support. 3. The push-button reset process has been updated—no more relying on a separate recovery image. Drivers stay intact, and pre-installed apps remain in provisioning packages. This makes it easy to clear bloatware quickly. 4. Multiple desktops are possible thanks to the expanded screen options. 5. Snap functionality has seen some enhancements since 2009, allowing more than two items to snap together. 6. Windows now supports modern apps directly in Edge, which is convenient. 7. DirectX 12 is being recognized, though full compatibility with AAA titles may still be pending. 8. Windows Hello biometric login is available, using the built-in fingerprint scanner. My laptop’s fingerprint reader hasn’t been used since 2014, and I’ve reinstalled it several times now. It works well with a dedicated utility, though it requires more system resources and pushes users toward OEM password managers and encryption. Windows has been supporting biometric devices since Windows 7, but previously lacked a native method for seamless login.
