Hello Folks, I've never used the forums before, so I thought I would ask you all if you've ever seen something like this? My workplace is throwing away 40 of these things, but after further research I'll need to get an Intel compute card and a molex power brick(Amazon sells it) https://www.amazon.com/Intel-CELERON-N34...7e17e03685 I found the compute card but I was trying to find out if something better exists or is this something unique and abandoned. Thought these would be cool media centers attached to the back of my TV's. Is it possible to bypass the compute card? I need to open it up when I get home. Thanks!

These are essentially just media port hubs with no other function. Without a PC they can't do anything. They were destroyed in 2019 due to high cost, weak execution, and being largely ignored.

They might include a M.2 cellular modem for scrap value, which you could collect and possibly other components. The compute cards are compact, limiting their performance; look for cheaper used ones on eBay. You should be able to identify the power supply with some effort. It’s likely a standard 12V CPU key, allowing you to purchase an extension and a 19V laptop PSU, then modify it. To confirm the pinout, a few internal and board photos should suffice.

Thanks for the update on Jaslion and Ohyou. It's frustrating, but makes sense. I'm planning to try one version to experiment with. I wish they hadn't made such a poor decision, as it seems like they're all heading in a sad direction. Probably someone thought it would be worthwhile.

They gave a full plan initially, then dropped it and created version two.
