I'm searching for another music player for Windows 8.1. The Metro app included with 8.1 isn't suitable because it doesn't allow scrobbling. I need something similar that supports FLAC, lets you edit ID3 tags, and has a good interface or customizable skins. Thanks!

Foobar2000 is the first thing that comes to mind. You likely have a skin that suits your taste. With the Factes plug-in, you can modify ID3 tags. Note: It seems you might edit ID3 tags without Facets, but it’s still great for organizing your music library.

I don't understand what scrobbling means, but I'm sure most will mention foobar

Recording your playlists. I've been using last.FM since 2005, which makes it really meaningful to me.

MusicBee is the top choice for your needs—it offers customization, tracking, and nice themes. It outperforms Foobar2000 in my opinion, and it’s ready to use right away.
