Camera is terrible - combat is pure hack and slash - swimming controls are awful - horse mechanics suck You can finish the game by just using quen, hacking, and slicing. I enjoy RPGs. My first RPG was ES Daggerfall then Fallout 2. I just couldn't commit to this game. I stopped playing most sidequests. By the way, I'm not a big Bethesda fan but Oblivion and Morrowind are definitely better than TW3.
I'm really sorry to tell you this, but you're completely off the mark :-) The camera works fine (maybe even better), and combat is a solid hack and slash system—great choice! Swimming controls are smooth, and horse handling is responsive too; if anything, it's quite manageable. You can finish the game by just using quick actions and some clever tactics. However, you'll miss about two-thirds of the experience. While the main story is engaging, the side quests from the expansions were the most enjoyable for me. At least now I have someone who shared that opinion, which feels good. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.
I'm taking a tougher stance intentionally because I was hoping for better. To be frank, I enjoyed the circle last mission, but that's roughly all there is to it. Perhaps they improved some aspects since my last playthrough.
It would be great if they returned my $90 payment for the season pass. I’m aware they distributed 16 free DLCs, but I haven’t used them.
It was just a joke, but it's nice they offered free DLC anyway.
