I'm using an i7 4790k and a gtx 980ti. When I play Dark Souls 3 at maximum settings, I notice a strange effect similar to a rubber band, but I wasn’t playing online yesterday. It’s hard to figure out what’s causing this issue.

I'll attempt it, though it didn't work before. This region has unusual lighting effects, which might explain the issue.

Absolutely, I was hoping that would resolve the issue.

So I reduced the brightness, but it only made a difference until I stepped outside.

Verify Windows and GPU drivers are current by checking the Task Manager. Observe any increases in disk, CPU, or GPU usage when lag occurs.
