It's possible, but unlikely. Apple typically focuses on its own hardware and software ecosystems, and a major AMD comeback wouldn't necessarily lead to them supporting AMD CPUs in macOS or OS X.

It really hinges on the extent of AMD's recovery. I question that though.

They'd need to capture most of the market share—similar to Intel's levels. Even then, AMD's processors aren't powerful enough for devices as slim as a MacBook.

Someone speculates that Apple might begin producing their own custom CPUs for Macs soon. They might consider AMD, but there are two main concerns. First, even those without technical knowledge recognize an i7 is strong, whereas AMD isn't as familiar. Second, Apple usually focuses on non-technical audiences like hipsters, teens, and celebrities, so they likely wouldn't shift their strategy. It's possible they'd stick with Intel CPUs paired with AMD graphics in MacBooks.

Making proprietary CPUs for one brand, especially Apple who owns such a small fraction of the PC market, is not likely to happen any time soon. It's different in the case of consoles due to consoles all using uniform hardware (by and large) and being their own platform, but it doesn't make financial sense to make one SKU of Intel or AMD CPUs "Apple Edition." Highly doubt it. When the ditched PowerPC it was a catastrophic architecture change and I don't see them making that jump anytime soon. They have a good repertoire with Intel and I should assume that they'll stay that way.

It's possible.. they already use AMD for GPUs thanks to their OpenGL performance (and now Metal, I assume). No reason to think they couldn't secure supply for AMD CPUs as well so long as there is a benefit to Apple... (Cost, performance, power draw, etc). I don't think their mobile lineup will see a change for a while as the Zen chips are workstation/consumer/server fist, mobile second.

AMD processors work well on OSX using a dedicated kernel.

Good suggestion regarding the visual aspects, though I believe moving to AMD processors could risk breaking their agreement or relationship with Intel.
