I had my Acer laptop fail, so I removed the hard drive and connected a SATA cable from a desktop to access files. Initially, it prompted me to check the files. Now I plan to use this drive in an HP laptop, but when I plug it in, the system shows no boot device. How can I restore my operating system onto this drive so it works? Please assist.

You’d need to insert your Windows setup disk, choose a custom setup, prepare the storage device, and then complete the installation.
