For the tenth time in this discussion, avoid using a broken version of Windows10. It’s not worth it. Just get a non-activated copy and proceed as usual. Or if you’re unwilling to pay for a valid license, genuine Windows 10 keys can be found on eBay for around 6bux. The lesson here is to stay smart—no one can confirm the quality of a cracked version, and most of those I’ve seen are faulty with hidden issues. If you do use a cracked copy, clean it up and start fresh.
I believe you're using an older Windows version that's still working fine. You've got a valid Windows key and can't just reinstall it because your system is already set up properly.
The only solution is to reinstall for a fresh start. Covering it with carpet won’t remove the issue.
Obtain an authentic version. You can download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's site and use the unactivated one until you can purchase a genuine key. Safeguard your files if you're concerned about loss. In fact, if you truly value your information, backing up is essential. This ensures you won't lose anything during a reinstall.
The issue with broken Windows copies is unclear intent behind cracking them, along with unauthorized backdoor services and modifications. Running an old PC from 10 years ago on an IDE drive makes installing programs extremely slow—sometimes taking weeks or months for even large files. Sharing your data, privacy, or software with such a cracked version is risky; keeping a legit Windows 10 copy with a proper key is safer.
... so ... they're somewhat similar to Windows itself, huh? (laughs) Of course you can get Windows 10 without a key and install it later. You don’t have to use any unofficial methods or risky downloads. Just obtain the genuine version directly from Microsoft. I installed Win10 from an official ISO file inside a virtual machine myself and didn’t need a license upfront. Of course, full features come with licensing, but that’s logical.
