I assembled the PC a few weeks back and used the SSD from my previous machine. Everything functions fine, but switching to an SSD from a different build might lead to issues. The old system had an i5, while my new one is a Ryzen 9.

It's common to set up Windows during a drive transfer to a new system. While moving an SSD with Windows already installed often succeeds, it can sometimes lead to unexpected problems. To prevent these unpredictable issues, reinstalling Windows is the safest option. You might also consider testing by simply connecting the drive and trying to access it.

You should be fine but if you're really concerned then it won't hurt to wipe the SSD and do a clean install of your OS.

I've been using that SSD for weeks, but a YouTube person warned me it might be risky.

It’s mainly a driver problem, so delete your display drivers using ddu, then reinstall the fresh ones and you’ll be fine.

Usually the problem stems from drivers. Typically you'd reinstall Windows after a major hardware upgrade. On the flip side, Windows might fail to activate because of the hardware change—since a new motherboard is treated as a fresh system by Microsoft.
