You're looking for a reliable Xbox emulator without malware concerns. There are several options available, such as XBMC, GameBoy Pro, or specialized tools like RetroArch, which offer safe and authentic gaming experiences.

It would be simpler to just drop one into my PC.

Good luck locating a functional solution. Xbox emulators remain elusive due to limited documentation and many failed attempts. XQEMU shows promise but is currently slow because it's still under active development. It hasn't been modified in about four days—since my last check yesterday.

I just tested Xeon and CXBX but neither worked well. I couldn't locate any games to download and they felt a bit untrustworthy. I'm going to look into XQEMU instead. Thanks!

Currently, there isn't a functional original Xbox emulator available. For purchasing games, it seems you might find affordable options on eBay, possibly through official channels.

Another option exists that functions at 10 frames per second, named XQEMU. An Xbox 360 emulator called Xenia 360 performs more smoothly, though the graphics appear distorted.
