Titanfall 2 is launching soon, and your friend is getting it on PC. Since we both have poor internet, you could try purchasing a DVD version from a site like Instant Gaming to buy a code, then use that code to get the DVD installed on your computer.

It seems Titanfall 2 won’t come with a traditional physical disc edition. Even if it does, I’m not sure it’ll cover the numerous DVDs needed for installation. Back when I bought a physical copy of Doom, it was on just one disk—just enough to save me 8GB from downloading the full 50GB.

In Australia it seems, as I used a DVD version of Battlefield 1, there must be some reason for that.

It seems you're referring to a situation where something was released on many DVDs, and you're questioning whether it's worth using the method you mentioned despite the need for a large download.

5 DVDs required about two hours to set up. It definitely cut down on my 40GB download usage, and the installation didn’t take more than two days!

Also checked a store and they displayed the DVD installation guide in the lower left corner.

Disk holds install files plus downloads for all patches. You might also obtain the physical version of the code if it's more affordable than online and you can claim it.
