I attempted to run the original Crysis on my PC after updating to version 1.2.1 using a retail DVD. It functioned properly before the anniversary update, but now it prompts for Windows 98 or newer. The game launches when I run another executable, yet crashes afterward. I've tried compatibility mode, which doesn't help, and only one of the executables supports it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Reach out to EA support for an Origin version, as it’s the only one that functions in certain cases.

I believe they won’t provide it unless you cover the cost.

You must demonstrate ownership by providing the DVD, its key, and a document containing your ticket number, username, and date.
