Ori and The Blind Forest is one of the best games I have ever played
I think it's time to share this experience with the world. This game truly stands out—it delivers an emotional impact in just a few minutes, and it did so without dialogue or strong character connections. Every time I discovered a new area or setting, it felt like playing something visually stunning again. It compares to art projects from a five-year-old, which is impressive. This title surpasses others like Trine, Bastion, and Transistor, offering a level of visual brilliance that lingers. I hope it receives the recognition it deserves; if not, I’m sure it will earn many awards.
I just completed it now. The game is truly amazing. I was laughing while navigating the terrain with bash; the design is exceptional. Using enemy projectiles for movement is incredibly clever. As they say, "It's an extremely rare experience that makes me shiver." Every time I entered a new area or heard fresh music, I felt goosebumps. The level design is outstanding. I was pleased with the ending—it's so unique to have a game that keeps you smiling all the time. I couldn't fix the bug, but I was glad to play it again. This is likely the best game I've ever played—game of the year, indeed!
I understand everything it accomplished was excellent. Gareth Coker handled the soundtrack, and it seems he hasn’t contributed much else yet. It appears one of the main artists comes from Blizzard. The music and visuals reached a high standard, comparable to Disney and Pixar. While the gameplay didn’t stand out, it was solid, well-executed, and enjoyable—perfect for speedrunning. I’m really pleased it offered genuine challenge rather than just a simple casual experience like Fez. I’d rather face frustration than get bored. I’m already playing it again, haha.
I noticed a few bothersome details, such as tree trunks in the background, which blocked enemy projectiles but only happened occasionally during my gameplay. I’ll check if I can get the soundtrack. It’s disappointing that no similar titles are released this year, but I recently bought Rayman and have plenty of other great platformers to enjoy.
I received this title when it launched on the eleventh day. It’s incredible. I haven’t progressed much since I’ve been consistently playing another game, though I notice a lot of care and consideration went into Ori and the Blind Forest.
