Organize your Windows 10 folders with clear naming and consistent structures.
So, I have a lot of TV shows, anime and so on, and I'm trying to find a good way to organise/mark them so I know which ones I'm currently watching, what's completed and what's to watch in the future. With so many anime series in one folder, it gets hard to remember where I am with different series. I would just organise them in watching/completed/to watch folders, but Plex doesn't play nice with that file setup (use Plex for streaming to Media PC and laptop). Ideally, I want the colour coding thing that you can do on Mac OSX, but as far as I can work out, there's no inbuilt feature like that with Windows. Does anyone know if there's a similar system within Windows, or know of a third party software solution to achieve the same effect. Colour coding would be the best option, but being able to put a symbol or something next to the folders would be okay. Preferably would like to be able to just right-click and assign it to a group without having to launch a program to change the group folders are in.
Create a new folder for each series. Inside those, add another folder named "watched" and move the watched files there. No complicated steps needed.
This doesn't address the problem. I understand staying in my place in a series, but I struggle to remember which one I'm on. My current folder setup remains unchanged, though I now have watched folders inside them. Also, Plex doesn't handle this file arrangement well.
plex functions well with multiple layers of folders; simply restructure your folders then proceed
I've attempted to organize them in the watched/watching/to-watch section, but Plex is causing issues and doesn't display many items. I'm looking for a cleaner method that avoids moving folders.
Hey there, I discovered something interesting. Check out this site: http://www.foldermarker.com/. It looks promising, and the trial seems effective.
