I possess an IPTV catalog containing films and shows. I aim to organize them on a Linux directory so Plex can access them without downloading. For instance, a movie at http://64.31.38.34/movie/MYuser/MYpass/110779.mp4 should map directly to a local file. I've attempted rclone but faced issues. Accessing the folder via a direct URL also isn't working.

A Plex extension would be required since Plex must identify files using their name, location, and data.

Mapping files to folders in Linux would help Plex access them easily. Right now, your movies are stored on OneDrive and synced with Plex via rclone.

Plex examines the full file during indexing, which isn't feasible. It would have to use an unconventional method, hence the mention of a plugin—though I think these are no longer officially available.
