I recently assembled my first setup and encountered BIOS problems. This is my first attempt at booting into BIOS, and the display only showed CPU speed and RAM details with no progress. I restarted and pressed F11 to access the boot menu, but a blank dialog appeared. Pressing Enter allowed me to proceed with Windows installation. After setting up Windows, I repeatedly tried to enter BIOS but kept facing the same issue. I searched online and found a solution involving removing the CMOS battery and restarting. That worked temporarily, letting me install Windows. However, once I rebooted, the BIOS screen would freeze shortly after, requiring another restart. The problem reappeared after a restart, and now I’m still unable to view any information or navigate the BIOS menu. My system runs fine in Windows, but my RAM performance is extremely slow. Anyone else experienced this? How can I resolve it? Do I really have a faulty board? My specs are: M.IIS B550 Gaming Plus, Ryzen 3700X, Cosair 16GB RAM, ASUS 3060 Ti.

Hello, this post is quite old, but the issue remains the same. Have you discovered a fix? I recently bought a new card and it functions perfectly in Windows without any problems, yet I’m still unable to access BIOS. Ryzen 5800x ASRock RX 6800 Challenger OC MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk

My B550 A-Pro experienced a freezing problem inside the BIOS once. I couldn't determine the cause. Eventually it resolved by itself or I fixed it by changing my USB connections. The USB 2.x port used for BIOS Flashback originally held my wireless mouse adapter, but I stopped using that port to leave it accessible for future needs. After rearranging, the freezing issue disappeared. In your situation, you might consider upgrading the BIOS via the Flashback option or using MSI's "unsupported" UEFI Shell Flash Tool... https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threa...-✔.343010/. This seems like a corruption, so the "Blind Flash" version is suggested. Be aware it offers no protection against cross-flash or mis-flash, making it suitable for downgrading, upgrading, or even transferring BIOS between boards (like changing from B550 Gaming Plus to A-Pro). It's a powerful but risky tool.

Thank you for your message. I've configured the B550 Tomahawk ASRock RX5600XT GPU in the BIOS normally and updated it to the latest version. The RX6800 was inserted back in, and the same issue persists—plugging in all USB devices, SSDs, and HDDs doesn't resolve the problem. I attempted to access BIOS with ASRock RX6800 but couldn't enter it. However, I can access BIOS when using ASRock RX5600XT in an Asus B450 MBO. I'm only experiencing difficulties with the combined setup of ASRock RX6800 and B550 Tomahawk. The Windows OS and gaming experience remain smooth, but the BIOS remains unresponsive.
