The only possibility is that the keys are completely fake or someone obtained them illegally, which likely means EA is already aware and won’t activate the stolen ones. This situation is clearly a scam. There’s also the chance someone pre-ordered just for extra content they don’t want, selling the key to recoup costs. Another possibility is that the store enforcing the pre-order doesn’t let you cancel without extra fees, so they decide to sell anyway. I haven’t pre-ordered since Half Life 2, so I’m unsure if this is still happening. I’ve heard of developers discovering scalpers and cancelling orders to stop the behavior, but when it does, the buyers still keep the money while you’re left without the game. I don’t think GreenMan or KingUin have any way to provide refunds or help in such cases since they just connect private deals. I’d steer clear of this.
They are extremely reliable. While I have faith in g2a, I place greater confidence in cdkeys and have placed several orders with them over the past few years.
You purchase from g2a or similar platforms by connecting with a marketplace of buyers, similar to eBay. Buying from cdkeys offers a direct transaction, which I favor when the price matches what g2a provides. Their FAQ explains that their products are affordable because their experienced management team brings over thirty years of industry knowledge and access to a wide supplier network. They source globally to secure the lowest costs, and since they sell digitally, they save on shipping and other fees, passing those savings to customers for more competitive pricing.
I've purchased many games from Cdkeys over time. They're now my favorite, never having received a key that didn't work. Usually the keys arrive a day or two before launch, though I've occasionally gotten one on release day—rare. Excited to see another Mass Effect enthusiast, and good luck on your Pathfinder journey!
I chose to check directly with them, though they didn’t provide a clear confirmation. Still, I’m satisfied with what they said. I’ve purchased from them before without any issues, but this time I opted for a pre-order.
No worries, excited about Andromeda as well. Are you planning to try EA access before it launches? From what I understand, development begins on the 16th with an unlimited multiplier and a 10-hour campaign window. My strategy is to play multiplayer until the 22nd. The game drops at 10pm UK time that night, so I’ll kick off midday then continue until my copy unlocks or however long I want. Assuming progress continues.
I've planned my free days around work and family so I can download it on the 22nd, then enjoy it alone on the 23rd. I'm not really into EA, which means I don't want to commit to a monthly subscription. It's a shame since they make the games I love.
I don’t really like EA, but I’ll try it for a month then stop so I can get the trial. I’m a university student and just found out I need to attend a live software demo by the 24th, at least on Wednesday and Thursday.
