I think we might have faced some issues meeting the schedule, so I won’t just defend R* without careful thought. However, I’m fairly sure the PC is the base release and the evidence supports that.

I doubt the assertions about PC being the original game because it’s the final release. Also, with so much data available, it’s easy for those outside the field to misunderstand things. I’m not confirming or denying your perspective, just expressing caution—especially since many PC players often try to prove their console options are superior and latch onto anything that seems impressive.

I don't claim to know who made those statements. My optimism comes from seeing how well Max Payne performed on PC using the RAGE engine, though GTA behaves differently. There are definitely encouraging signs.
