CPU model is AMD Ryzen 9 5900X with 12 cores. Motherboard supports ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Plus WiFi AM4 ATX. RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (2x32GB) at 2400MHz. I upgraded to two 32GB sticks and noticed the orange DRAM light stays on but the system fails to boot. Using only one set of 32GB works fine, regardless of slot placement. The CMK64GX4M2A2400C16 has QVL for 1 or 2 dimms but not 4. I updated BIOS and cleared CMOS, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Any further troubleshooting steps you recommend would be appreciated. Thanks.

Using just two sticks with a mix of old and new can cause minor compatibility issues, even if their specifications match. The maker might choose the cheapest components available, which could result in hidden problems not shown in the manual.

The part numbers may be the same, but they belong to different batches. The version numbers for each kit are likely different.

Both versions are compatible. Installing one old stick and one new stick works fine. You can keep the new RAM and consider swapping the old ones for a 4x32 upgrade if you prefer.

XMP/DOCP performs reliably. Use a kit from the QVL verified with four sticks.
