Do you know the pin connections for the 980? A previous Dell discussion had them, but it got taken off when I needed the details. I’m looking for the front IO and power button wiring. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

It's a specialized connector. I'd attempt to activate it by briefly connecting two pins together using a flathead screwdriver for roughly one second. This method causes minimal harm, essentially safe. You'll just need those two pins for the power switch—other components are not necessary.
