I recently purchased a Dell OptiPlex 7010 mini PC. I intended to install a graphics card, but I underestimated how limited the space is in such a compact unit. Now I’m considering moving the internal components into a larger case, though I doubt it will be easy—especially with the motherboard and other parts. Do you have any experience with this setup? Is it really impossible to swap the internals?

It’s impossible to modify any component of this machine to include an HDD RAM and processor in another case. All parts are original OEM specifications.

Notably, the limited OEM power supply doesn't include PCIe connectors needed for a separate graphics card.

This looks just like the inside of your computer, thank you for the helpful advice. This graphics card should serve me well until I can afford a fresh upgrade.

I bought it but it's currently unavailable—it should return soon and be shipped to you.

I didn't remember this discussion, but the graphics card arrived and I installed it smoothly—it's performing well. I've been able to play several games that I couldn't before without it.
