When discussing Office 365, Google Workspace is more affordable compared to Zoho, and both support most Excel features. There are numerous free or low-cost alternatives for offline suites, but none match the offerings of 365 and GW. You may want to explore deal sites, as they sometimes provide a year subscription to 365 for a reasonable price.
According to what I understand, MS offers China keys for Office at a low price, and then these Chinese sellers resell them to Americans for a profit, making it even cheaper than purchasing directly from Office. Many users on these platforms complain about receiving the wrong Office version when they register the key (like Home instead of Professional, etc.). It’s something that’s often recommended, but I’ve got plenty of unanswered questions and haven’t tried it yet. YMMV.
you can use MS Office unregistered if you prefer not to purchase it.
i have it on a few computers and simply installed it without entering any keys. when i open the program, a pop-up appears warning it is unregistered, but clicking x lets me proceed without restrictions. i suspect this is for office 2016.
