Options for Corsair LPX DDR4 3600 are available!
Hi everyone, Corsair offers two models of their 2*8GB DDR4 3600 RAM: one with higher speed and lower latency, the other with lower speed and lower latency. The first version costs more but provides better performance, while the second is more affordable. Both meet PC4-28800 specifications at 3600MHz. I'm matching it with a 3300x and Steel Legend. Thanks!
In fact, the second option works well with a wider range of chipsets, which isn't a big issue.
They operate the faster processor at a higher clock rate, which explains the increased latency. If they used the same SPD speed across all components, latency would remain consistent. Thanks!
More affordable options are preferable because they match the specifications once XMP is applied and they perform as advertised. Four pounds remains a reasonable amount.
For XMP, choose the option that costs less or offers superior timing in their configuration. Both perform similarly at 3200MHz on a Cl16 board.
I just found these on Amazon. It looks like a cheaper DDR 3600 option, though it lists as C20. It’s confusing how to decide between the budget version and the pricier models. Parts shopping can be really tricky! Thanks for checking.
