I’m looking to replace my monitor with a 144Hz model, and I need my frame rates to consistently be at least 150 fps, but I sometimes achieve 170-250 fps and 120-180 fps on certain maps. My computer configuration is:

Within a budget of €250, I'd recommend considering a GTX 1660, RX 5700, or RX 580.

The RX 5700 offers the strongest performance, approximately 60-70% quicker than the RX 580 and roughly 30-40% faster than the GTX 1660, though it's also pricier.

Each of these cards will deliver approximately 150 frames per second in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Evaluate your options carefully and seek out discounted offers on Amazon or other retailers. I’d personally favor the GTX 1660 due to its similar cost to the RX 580 while providing notably superior performance.

The graphics card is a solid choice. An i5-7400 provides sufficient performance. A 5700XT or 2060Super would work well, though I wouldn't recommend anything more as they could restrict the GPU’s capabilities. These are approximately $400 each. The computer currently has only 8GB of RAM, which may or may not improve speed, but will certainly enhance multitasking. Please share your upgrade budget, and I’ll select a card that suits your needs.

Your processor can accommodate a more powerful graphics card. Therefore, that would be the part to improve initially. Perhaps an RX 570, or 580.

I’m unsure, I genuinely don’t understand computers at all. Is 250 euros sufficient?
