Hello everyone, I'm curious why my FPS is so low in CS:GO. It's hovering around 120 in competitive play and between 70-90 in deathmatch. I've got an i5 10400f, GTX 1080, and 16GB RAM. I've tried everything: checking the NVIDIA control panel, adjusting power settings, reinstalling the game and Windows. I've also updated my drivers and kept all settings low, but my FPS isn't capped. I don't know what's causing the issue. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! P.S. I uninstalled the drivers using DDU but it didn't help.
I don't have a specific resolution preference. Please let me know your preferred resolution if you need one.
It could be that your system is running smoothly at 4K and ultra settings, but you should verify your drivers, BIOS, and look for bloatware that might be slowing things down. Also, close any background apps if you notice any.
It seems unusual. I recommend checking the device and performing a fresh installation of the Nvidia drivers.
I also tried it in Fortnite and achieved around 115 average with Epic settings.
Your RAM speed is correct and installed in the appropriate slots (typically 2nd and 4th from the CPU).
