You can check which core was affected by analyzing your system logs or using tools like Core Dump Analyzer. Since you didn’t specify the exact crash behavior, consider restarting with a fresh install if possible. If issues persist, updating your drivers and checking for known issues may help.

There might be various factors behind the crash beyond just the CPU. It could involve RAM, power supply unit, GPU, temperature readings, motherboard, or even storage issues. Run FurMark for the GPU or 3DMark (preferably TimeSpy) if available. Share your PSU details only if needed; otherwise, describe the remaining specs. For cooling temperatures, note that proximity to or reaching 100°C often indicates thermal throttling, which may cause crashes. Use MemTest64 for memory stability testing (techpowerup.com). Storage checks can be done with CrystalDiskMark or by verifying game files. If you want CPU overclocking results, consider hwinfo64 for core usage, temperature, and voltage data. For in-game diagnostics, use MSI Afterburner and check OS settings via ods config.

Are you certain it's caused by your CPU overclock? I think corecycler works well for checking CO. I'd lean more toward RAM if that's the case.

It definitely can especially when you have voltage undershoot due to bad LLC setting

Check the event viewer for the failing thread—often it’s a strong core struggling with higher clocks because of undervoltage. What are your CO settings?

Hello, thank you for your update. I've completed memtest86, Windows memory diagnostic, occt memtest, and memtest5. Recently, I replaced my RAM as one stick failed, and I got new ones two weeks ago, so I suspect it's not the RAM itself. My temperatures during Cinebench R23 are at a maximum of 78 °C. I ran a corecycler with one core at a time using Prime95 set to 2 hours per core, and everything ran smoothly without any crashes. Currently, I'm testing with a ycruncher selected. I also plan to perform a PSU test with occt and run the timespy test as advised.

I reviewed the event viewer, but no issues were found. It seems you might have made a mistake. Let me guide you through the correct steps.

If your PC completely failed, look for a "red flag" event and search for "WHEA." If only the game crashes, there’s nothing here, as these issues are more tied to the game itself. Such problems are tougher to fix because they depend on the game. Try running the game in lower settings or check if it's GPU-related.

Rust is working, but the system restarts without BSOD. I’ll wrap up the ycruncher test first, then tackle RAM, GPU, and PSU next.
