Could you advise on optimal Battlefield 5 configurations for an RTX 2060, aiming to minimize visual stuttering? I'm using a 1440x900 display.

Adjusting graphical settings could likely stabilize frame times. The framerate would probably fluctuate significantly when playing at low resolutions with a CPU consistently near 100% without vertical synchronization or a rate limiter. Frame timing often degrades with heavily utilized CPUs in games like this.

Personal preference determines what constitutes enjoyable gameplay. Prioritizing lower settings to minimize distractions is valid, as is opting for maximum settings to appreciate the visuals – it’s ultimately subjective. As WildCard noted, the original poster desires smoother performance, so let's concentrate on that goal.

At this level of detail, processing relies heavily on your central processor unit. What is your CPU model?

Well, if it were me, I'd have it on high/ultra. I want' all the graphical goodness on show. At that res, you should be able to pump out 80-100+FPS with that card. Of course it depends on what the rest of your system is like. Please list your specs.

I believe I’d prefer High/Ultra settings for Solo play, yet for multiplayer sessions, I'd maintain Low unless the Mesh Quality is set to Ultra specifically for distant objects. Maintaining a Low overall setting would minimize visual distractions and enable me to concentrate better on combat.

Your behavior embodies all that’s problematic about personal computer gaming. Why don't you concentrate on enjoying yourself?

To the original poster, experiment with RTX at a moderate setting.

Processor? It seems odd, but if performance isn’t optimal, I'd boost graphics options and aim for greater strain on the video card. At this resolution, much of the processing will fall to the CPU. Based on my observations, continually having the processor reach and dip below 100% utilization (which is probably happening with reduced settings) can result in jerky movements.

Enjoying competition is exhilarating!
I find pleasure regardless of success or failure, and I’m not one to rage or damage equipment.

Let’s see if adjusting some options on your own produces a different result.

Reducing visual quality feels disappointing.
