I'm assembling a PC from the ground up. My first choice is a 5800X with 3060 Ti, mainly used for Valorant and Apex Legends. If my setup isn't strong enough, consider an upgrade, but I still need at least eight cores for demanding tasks.

I believe this setup works well for your requirements. The main challenge is locating both items in inventory.

Tell me about your spending plan for the project. Valorant and Apex aren't super tough to run, so you likely won't require a powerful 8-core processor. An i5-10400f should work perfectly.

You’d likely require 8 cores for heavy multitasking, complex simulations, or demanding AI/ML workloads. The 5800X might be excessive if your primary focus isn’t such intensive processing.

There is a growing demand for the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and access streaming content effortlessly.

That’s a solid plan and all, but I think it would help to reduce the CPU a bit for improved GPU performance. Even though they’re powerful, I’d prefer a stronger GPU over relying on CPU speed over time. You don’t need a top-tier CPU since you’ll mainly be handling GPU encoding. Unless you can afford both, it might be better to focus on the card first.

If I go for a 3070 worth it?

It's just a few frames per second above a 3060ti. Largely the same card. Not sure what's valuable to others. It doesn't seem worth it to me, which is why I don't own one.
