I explored options to shrink the video file size while keeping quality intact. At 60 FPS, 40 Mbps, and 3440x1440 resolution, the file is quite large. There doesn’t seem to be advanced software that reliably compresses it without noticeable loss, but some tools might help reduce size slightly. Let me know if you'd like suggestions!

Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere works best when rendered at a reduced resolution. Lowering the quality won’t always cause loss, but certain formats maintain clarity while compressing data significantly.

The file size is typical. Lower the recording resolution to 720p or 1080p. Also, consider the wide format—it may appear poor on YouTube for most viewers. I’m not certain if YouTube supports 21:9; it might just show black bars.

For 21:9 viewers it displays in fullscreen. For 16:9 viewers it shows black bars but looks cinematic, similar to many films.

For those not viewing it in fullscreen, it appears to reduce the size. Keep in mind that most people use monitors with 1080p or less, with only a small percentage having higher resolutions. Recording above 1080p doesn't add much value, while 720p works well for about 60% of users.

If you have an NLE, apply it to shrink the file to 1080p/60. This might be the optimal choice. Following the advice given, you could try Handbrake, though I’m unsure about the best settings to adjust.

I’m focusing on creating 21:9 gameplay clips instead of chasing high numbers. Even a 16:9 format offers a wider view and feels great. I’m not concerned about views, just enjoying the process. Thanks for all the feedback! I’m currently testing Handbrake while writing this.
