Stay calm. Avoid being exposed in front of the camera and refrain from making any offensive comments. You should be okay.

That's not the goal. I don't need my information sent, I don't want to be constantly monitored, and I don't want to be always heard. I simply want complete privacy for myself.

I shared @GoodBytes' update about collecting telemetry and data in Windows 10. He noted there’s no complete disable switch on Windows 8 or 10. You can’t prevent anything through the HOST file since it would be too simple for attackers to send telemetry to their servers. Instead, adjust settings: go to Settings > Privacy > turn off all under General, disable "get to know me" options in Speech, Inking, and Typing (especially if using Cortana via voice, a digitizing pen, or touch screen), switch off App Diagnostics, and choose Basic Feedback. Also turn off the Windows telemetry service, program compatibility service, and error reporting. You can limit them as much as possible and avoid Microsoft services—opt for a local account instead of an MS-joined one.

That’s a reasonable point. The main challenge is finding a way to get practical experience.

That's a good point—maybe exploring the North Korea edition would suit you better.

I mentioned before that you're focusing too much on what might be possible with Microsoft. To date, I haven't received any updates from your friends about Microsoft compromising their privacy.
