After E3, there are many games I’m excited about, especially Metro Exodus. But since Microsoft has restricted most new releases to the Windows 10 store, I’m stuck using Windows 10. It’s a mess—lots of unnecessary features, privacy concerns, and a lot of other issues from this company. Is there any way to make Windows 10 more usable? Can I get rid of things like Cortana and improve my privacy so Microsoft doesn’t share all my data?

Avoid using Win10 if it doesn’t suit you. Disable Cortana, adjust privacy options, and similar tweaks. In practice, you can’t fully eliminate these features, but avoiding them effectively turns them off.

It seems Microsoft keeps sending your information to others no matter your choices. I also completely oppose Cortana at all costs. I don’t need a constantly listening assistant on my computer—it’s just outdated.

You can't destroy Cortana. She's integrated into the main system, and eliminating her causes the whole thing to crash. Still, it could lead you pretty far.

The core issue is my complete distrust of Microsoft. Of course it will say "off," but they’re known for ensuring constant listening and transmission.
