You’re considering a Super Micro Server board with Dual SP3 sockets. For your NAS and media server project, you’ll want to match it with suitable CPUs and memory. Since you’re looking for used options, focus on reliable listings and verify the CPU model—especially whether it’s an engineering sample. Check the seller’s description and reviews to confirm authenticity before purchasing.

One 7002 or 7003 processor would be excessive for a NAS and media server, especially with two units. The 7302 offers better value as it's the entry-level option, and it should suffice well.

Why go for an EPYC in a home setup? It doesn’t require the power of Intel or AMD CPUs. You won’t need anything close to what you’re aiming for.

Thanks for the update, I secured the motherboard for less than $300. I also enjoy building things with extra features!
